Government officials should rely on their own judgment rather than unquestioningly carrying out the will of the people whom they serve.

With the development of democracy, people have experienced its benefits and importance. However, prevelance of all kinds of medias-- televisions, radios --make citizens have a question: should government officials rely on their own judgement or the will of people? In my opinion, I think they must put emphasis on both of their judgement and the will of people instead of taking only one of them into account.
As a government offical, he or she must have some impressive characteristics attracting people's attention: that is, the ability of adequately manipulating policies, accomplishing people's will as soon as possible, and so forth. Government officals consist of miscellaenous experts, such as political consultants and financial professors, and they will use their knowledge and experiences to improve a their own country according to their own judgement. As we know, a well-known event what we called "ecnomical depression" occured in 1929 and it spreaded out to the whole world fastly. Roosevelt, president of the United States at that time, invited a famous ecnomic experts to solve these problem; also, he announced a well-known policy, New Deal, and successfully revive American economy. On the contrary, there existed various opinions in the country, whether non-profit groups, workers or teachers wanted to solve the problem in accordance with their own view. Obviously, it is reasonable and undoubted that people need to vote for a president, who assign suitable experts in proper positions, to trust them deciding the future of their own country. Therefore, government should decide several significant decision by relying on their own judgement because people with limited general archtecture of a country can not give an effective solution.
On the other hand, the will of people can not be negelected by government officals. A proverb tell us: "A country is of the people, by the people, for the people." People is indispensible to a country as a result of the fact that people want to choose an industrious, friendly and sincere representative to achieve people's expectation instead of corrupting, fooling around and caring about his/her own interests. For example, when citizens complain about the issues, like plenty of pollution, traffic-jams, high criminal rate, government officals must be responsible for them, trying their best discussing how to solve them; otherwise, people will have no confidence in their government's operation and distrust the abilities of officials. As a result, people will not vote them in next election and hope that there exists other experts who wants to serve people. In one word, it is also important to put emphasis on the will of people.
To sum up, there is an ambiguous boundary between govenment officals's own judgement and the will of people. Both of them should be carefully concerned, and the country can become more and more prosper.
